Web installer — requirements

Open /install after uploading the project. The wizard checks your server before writing any files — similar to the WordPress 5-minute install.

1. Upload the ZIP, unzip, and point the vhost document root to public/.
2. Run composer install --no-dev if vendor/ is not bundled.
3. Visit https://your-domain.com/install.
4. Confirm PHP 8.2+, required extensions, writable storage/ and bootstrap/cache/, and .env.example.

Next, enter MySQL (or SQLite) credentials and click Test connection before continuing.

Installation complete

When the wizard finishes, sign in and complete the production checklist so campaigns can send.

• Configure SMTP under Settings.
• Start the queue worker: php artisan queue:work --queue=campaigns.
• Add a cron job: * * * * * php artisan schedule:run.
• See deploy/ for Supervisor and cron examples.

The installer writes storage/app/installed.json. Keep that file on production so the wizard stays locked.

Monitor performance at a glance

The dashboard summarizes campaign volume, active subscribers, emails delivered, and recent activity so you know what to send next.

• KPI cards: total campaigns, active subscribers, emails delivered.
• Quick actions: create a campaign or add a subscriber without leaving the overview.
• Recent campaigns: status, recipients, open rate, and click-through rate.

Set up a new campaign

Create a campaign with audience, subject, content, and sender details in one screen.

• Campaign name — internal label for your team.
• Subject line and optional preview text shown in the inbox.
• Campaign type — Standard (broadcast) campaigns.
• Sender: name, from email, and reply-to address.
• Template: pick a design from the visual builder, or paste HTML.

Design reusable layouts under Manage Campaign → Templates. Drag blocks onto the canvas, then assign the template when creating a campaign.

• Blocks: columns, spacer, heading, text, image, button, link, divider, custom HTML, footer.
• Personalization: merge tags such as {{first_name}} in body copy.
• Desktop / mobile preview toggles.
• AI Assistant — optional OpenAI, OpenRouter, or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint under Settings.
• Unsubscribe and preference links in the footer block.

Add subscribers manually or import

Create a contact by hand, or bulk-import a CSV from the subscribers screen.

• Email, first name, last name — core profile fields.
• Status — Active (and related list statuses).
• Groups — assign one or more audience segments.
• Source — e.g. manual, form, or import.
• Metadata (JSON) — extra fields such as company name.

Install a form on any website

After saving a form, copy the install snippet and paste it before </body> on every page where it should appear.

• One JavaScript embed per form — no plugin required on the destination site.
• Popup triggers: exit intent, timer, scroll, or page load.
• Inline forms can also use raw HTML markup instead of the script.
• Views and conversion rate are tracked back in NewsLetterPlus.

Invite staff and assign a role

Add teammates under Team & roles → Staff. Each person signs in with their own email and only sees modules allowed by their role.

• Full name, email, password, and role on create.
• Jump to Manage roles & module access to define permissions first.
• Edit or remove staff later without affecting the Super Administrator account.

Connect your mail server

Campaigns and automations send through the SMTP account you configure under Settings — not the .env mail values.

• Providers: Mailgun, SendGrid, Brevo, Amazon SES, Mailtrap, Postmark, Gmail, Mailpit/Mailhog, or any SMTP host.
• Host, port (e.g. 587), TLS/SSL, authentication, username, and password / API key.
• Default sender: from name and from email (must be verified with your provider).
• Use Test SMTP before sending a campaign.
